The first session with your counsellor will be a free 20 minute consultation to understand more about you or your child, discuss the issues being faced with a view to establishing where to focus in future sessions, should you agree to go ahead. The type of therapeutic techniques being offered will also be discussed during this consultation. This will be a phone call unless you request otherwise, eg due to hearing/communication difficulties, which I am happy to accomodate with email communication or webchat.
The standard fee for a counselling session is £60 per session. Webchat Counselling is available at £35 for 50 minutes, however this may not be the best method for everyone. All therapy sessions are based on the 'counselling hour' which is 50 minutes, including the initial consultation.
A limited number of concessionary spaces are available for those on a lower income or receiving benefits. These sessions are offered on a sliding scale, with prices starting from £35, depending on individual circumstances. As these places are limited, they may not always be available.
If you feel a concessionary rate may be appropriate for you, this can be discussed when you make an enquiry.
Missed and cancelled sessions
I ask for 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend a session, or the fee must be paid in full. The full cancellation policy can be found under Terms and Conditions
